La Nef Chocolate
Founded by artists Mandy and Dylan Metrano on Monhegan Island in 2018, La Nef Chocolate brings together their love of art, craftsmanship, and fine chocolate. Now based in Bath, Maine, La Nef creates thoughtfully made chocolates using high-quality ingredients and sustainable, direct-trade sourcing.
Art is at the heart of the company. La Nef collaborates with visual artists to create its distinctive packaging and with musicians to release original music alongside select chocolate bars—inviting customers to discover and support artists through every collection.
The name “La Nef” comes from “Isle La Nef,” the name explorer Samuel de Champlain gave Monhegan in 1605. La Nef Chocolate has been featured in Maine Magazine, Down East Magazine, and The New York Times’ T Magazine.
