Jewelry & Metal Work
Reinerland
Cristina’s journey into jewelry making began in the early 2000s while working at a jewelry store on New York City’s Lower East Side. Her interest led her to study at Studio Jewelers Ltd., where she graduated in 2005 and began creating jewelry of her own design.
Around the same time, Cristina met Reiner, a visual artist whose abstract paintings had been exhibited in New York, Europe, and Japan. As he watched Cristina work, he became fascinated by the craft. One day, she came home to find a beautifully carved wax skull pendant waiting for her on her jewelry bench. It was the beginning of a creative partnership.
In 2006, their shared love of each other and jewelry gave birth to Reinerland. They have been creating and selling their jewelry at artisan markets and stores ever since.
Their sculptural pieces combine organic forms with bold, playful beauty. Cristina and Reiner seek out unique gemstones from around the world, transforming them into distinctive works of wearable art.
